Medicyt, s.r.o. (Ltd.) is a modern cytology and biopsy laboratory, that thanks to highly qualified staff, most advanced equipment and diagnostic procedures belongs to leaders in this field in Slovakia. We expand the area of ​​laboratory diagnostics of MEDIREX GROUP on cytology and biopsy diagnosis. In co-operation with genetic laboratories of Medirex, a.s., we present a highly specialized department for the diagnosis of certain types of cancer. Together with affiliate company CytoLab, s.r.o. we are the only company in Slovakia, which has 5 pathological laboratories, which are fully staffed and equipped, at a high European level. In the framework of  cytology we were the first laboratory in the Slovak Republic, that has introduces the gold standard in cytological diagnosis - "Liquid based" cytology. Our classical cytological diagnosis has an elaborate system of rescreening when at least 10%, usually 30% of cytology sampling is subject to rescreening. The systems of cytologic screening and rescreening comply with EU recommendations and standards. At present, we evaluate the largest number of cytology in Slovakia (annually around 250 000 patients) and right through a sophisticated system of rescreening we provide high quality of samples.
